Our friend Bucky passed away on November 12, 2002. Bucky loved people, especially children. He had endless patience for the little ones who would hug his legs or neck, rub his fuzzy ears, or brush his mane. In his younger days Bucky competed in barrel racing and was a Western penning champion. His champion days continued when he joined IRIE in 1997. He was our official meeter and greeter. All newcomers came through Bucky. For many Bucky was the first horse that they ever had contact with! Time after time our children would break out in smiles and laughter from a Bucky nuzzle. During his years with us he brought happiness and unconditional love to so many children, their families, and all who had contact with him. Bucky, you will forever be in our hearts. We love you. We miss you.
